For those interested in donating funds to One Village Planet we would like to assure everyone who is giving consideration to donating that 100% of all donated funds go directly to our projects in Haiti or Ghana. There are no administration, handling or hidden fees associated with your donation.  Many other non-profit organizations spend as much as 90% of your donated dollar to the process of soliciting your donation. Those organizations usually spend your money by distributing it to highly paid management employees, marketing and administrative costs.  Let me assure you that there are no over paid or high salaried employees at One Village Planet.  Every person who is associated with this organization in the US and many of those in Haiti and Ghana work because we realize that what we do really makes a difference, and the results positively impact those who are less fortunate than ourselves.

Dan Warren, the founder of One Village Planet, has always maintained the philosophy that we should empower the poor people of the Haiti and Ghana by providing them with education and tools they can use to survive in their world.  He will continue with that objective; but today we are faced with a crisis in Haiti of unprecedented proportions.  Current estimates are that over 100,000 people have been killed, and millions are left homeless. Those still alive are starving and fighting to survive. We are asking those of you who can afford to donate, to dig deep and give what you can for immediate emergency relief to those in Haiti.  Dan at this moment is putting together containers to be shipped over as soon as possible. This Emergency Relief Fund will be used to supply food, clothing, medical supplies and tools to the victims of the earth quake both in Port-Au-Prince and other areas of Haiti.  These are desperate times in Haiti and all of One Village Planets' efforts until this crisis is over and there is some sense of stabilization in Haiti, will be put into our emergency relief effort.
